Scent is one of the few senses that reaches memory before language. These candles were made from that — the rooms, relationships, and atmospheres that stay with us. They are for independent retailers who treat home objects as considered rather than decorative.

Scent and memory

The olfactory bulb connects directly to the amygdala and hippocampus, the parts of the brain most involved in emotion and memory. It is why a scent can bring back a place before you can name it.
